Our congregation numbers 350 sisters and we now have houses in Kanya, Uganda, Congo and Burundi. We are founded by a European order but in 1953 we became independent and elected our own superior and council.

Our community has always been one of unity and this was particularly evident during our country's tragic genocide. For the last 13 years we have been part of our nation's effort to rebuild and to move forward to establish a society based on truth and justice.

Our Works of Service

Health
Our sisters administer seven district health centers in Rwanda and Burundi. Sisters also hold staff positions in hospitals in Rwanda, Congo, Burundi and Uganda.

Orphans
We care for 350 orphans but not in an institutional setting. We have created a network of 39 homes where the children become family to one another.

Women and Young Girls
We provide safe and affordable accommodations for young women who come to our cities to work or study. In 2009, we opened open a 700 bed dormitory which we financed and built so that more women students will have the opportunity to attend the University of Rwanda.
